Sketch for the the 1995 mural of the ESU Children’s Reading Room, U. of Hartford. In 1991, Esphyr Slobodkina moved to West Hartford to erect a building with a children’s reading room at the alma mater of her late husband William Urquhart. The building opened in 1995 decorated with Slobodkina’s art. This work study is part of a three panel design for one wall of the interior.
